Phonak Lumity Mini Charger - Fast & Portable Hearing Aid Charger for Phonak Lumity Devices | Perfect for Travel, Home & Daily Use

This long review is for information purposes. I came to Amazon looking for the specific Phonak portable pcharger case (made by Sonova) that came with my new Phonak hearing aids. I was excited to be able to buy a second charger (for travel) at an affordable price.Do not be discouraged by the video posted for this item. This is a top quality Phonak charger case. You must be certain the case is the correct charger intended for your specific hearing aids.When using the charger, the RED (Right side Phonak hearing aid) must be placed into the Right side well in the charger. The BLUE (Left side Phonak hearing aid) must be placed into the Left side well in the charger.Note: The video shown does not have the aids placed in the correct right/left charger wells. Also, the charger case itself must first be fully charged before trying to charge hearing aids.My charger order arrived in December 2024. It is in a Phonak box—packaging very similar to the charger that came with my new Phonak aids. My hearing aids are called the “Sphere” with the newest AI technology.Sadly, while the charger case design is very similar, I discovered this charger is too small in size, not the correct charger for my “Sphere” h/aids. This Phonak charger is manufactured by Sonova, the same company that made my charger that came with my new h/aids. It is made in the Philippines. My own charger was made by Sonova in Lithuania. I am sure this case works for some Phonak hearing aids, but not the Sphere.The charger case that came with my new aids has larger charging wells to accommodate “Sphere” aids which have larger over-the-ear (OTE) bodies.All that said, these FUNCTIONING DETAILS may be helpful for other Phonak users. This Phonak/Sonova charger case is portable; it is recharged by a “C” cable which is included. I completed a full charge of this charger case unit before I discovered it would not accommodate the Sphere hearing aid bodies.My original charger case can usually recharge my hearing aids three or four times before the portable case needs to be recharged. The charger makes it very easy to recharge hearing aids “on the go,” but be certain the charger case is sitting upright and level when charging hearing aids, so the bases of both h/aids fully connect to the contact points deep in the charger wells.My h/aids blink green while charging, and show a solid green light when fully charged. My charger case itself also shows a solid green light when it is fully charged. The green light blinks as the charger case gets weaker and needs to be recharged. This smaller sized charger case is designed a little differently. The green light shows on the back of the case where the C cable attaches for recharging the case, but there is no blinking light on the inside of the charger case. The blink lights will be bisible on the hearing sidsI wear hearing aids for a very long day. My h/aids usually blink yellow when I place them into the charger wells, clearly showing they need to be recharged. If my h/aids are completely without power, they will show a solid red light when placed into the charger. They need a full recharge at that point…three hours. When an immediate recharge to hearing aids is needed, a 30 minute charge in the portable charger case will provide several hours of power to the hearing aids. All these times are estimates. Each individual user will get charge times unique for their uses.FYI: The newest AI technologies used by the Sphere aids affect the battery power consumed by the h/aids. Noisier situations may use more AI tech power; thus, more battery power may be consumed by the h/aids. If used in a quiet environment, the h/aids may use less AI technology and consume less battery power. If h/aids are linked to Bluetooth on a cell phone, the AI tech used will also affect phone battery power usage.Recap: I trust this is an authentic Sonova manufactured charger case made for some models of Phonak hearing aids. It does not work for Sphere aids. I am still searching for the similar but larger Sonova charger case (model/item unit: RICSPH I) which is needed for Phonak Sphere hearing aids.
